A few years back, many were a bit skeptical of Cannabis use. In essence, most governments didn’t even authorize it until recently. Today, more and more individuals are accepting cannabis use, especially due to its health benefits. Many have realized how eating cannabis snacks help to not only improve mobility but also reduce stiffness and pain. While you can still use cannabis the conventional way through smoking, there are better ways that are friendlier to many. For instance, the use of cannabis in snacks is now a typical mode of consumption for those who not only need the impressive taste of the bites but also the health aspects.

Here are five of the best cannabis energy snack recipes we found:

  1. Toasted coconut energy bars

Sea salt

Coconut – 2/3 cup, shredded, unsweetened

A generous amount of cannabis/weed

Parchment paper

Food processor

Brownie pan

Ground cinnamon

Dates – 1 cup, pitted

Cashews – 2 cups, unsalted

Butter – ¼ cup

Coconut oil – 2 tbsp.

After extracting THC from the weed, cook a cup of oil with the herb. You can stir the mixture every half hour, as you heat the oil and the pot for about 2 or 3 hours. Depending on what you are looking to make, you can always adjust the measurements.

Heat the oven beforehand to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Using a baking sheet, spread 2/3 of a cup of unsweetened shredded coconut on it. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the coconut turns golden. Once through, place it aside.

Spread 2 cups of unsalted cashews on the sheet, and then cook for about 5 minutes or until fragrant. Using the food processor, mix the cashews, coconut, a cup of pitted dates, sea salt, and cinnamon. Pulse the processor until the mixture turns to crumble.

Add ¼ cup of the unsalted butter, combining with two tablespoons of the THC coconut oil. Pulse the mixture until it clumps. In case you check and see that it’s too dry, you are at liberty to add more butter. You can also use coconut oil or coconut butter if you have.

Using the brownie pan, add some oil and parchment paper, and make sure that the paper sticks to all the sides. Pour the mixture into the pan and then stick all of it in the freezer for about 20 minutes. The bars are now ready to serve, and you can eat according to your tolerance or needs.

2. Ganja granola bars

Honey – ¼ cup

Rolled oats – 2 ½ cups

Peanut butter – ¼ cup, optional

Total extra mix-ins – ¾ cups

Brown sugar – 1/3 cup

Unsalted butter – 2 tbsps.

Nuts – ½ cup, roughly chopped

Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon

A generous amount of cannabis/weed

You can either choose to make this energy bar using a cannabis-honey or cannabis-butter mixture.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, then use a rimmed baking sheet to place the oats and nuts and bake for about 10 minutes. This gives the granola bars a cookie feel, which is otherwise optional if you don’t fancy it.

Place parchment paper on a baking dish, and then put the nuts and oats in a large bowl. Using a small saucepan, either combine cannabis-butter or cannabis-honey with brown sugar. Cook until butter melts and sugar dissolves, as you stir. Stir in the vanilla and salt after removing from heat. Add peanut butter then pour the mixture over the nuts and oats, as you stir. Add mix-in ingredients, and then press the mixture onto a pan. Place the bars inside the fridge for about 2 hours or overnight if you can. Cut them into pieces, and you are ready to serve.

3. Cookie dough truffles

Salt – ¼ teaspoon

About 150mg of CBD oil

Cacao nibs – 4 tbsps.

Ground cinnamon – ½ teaspoon

Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon

Coconut butter – 1 tbsp.

Cashew butter – 2 tbsp.

Dates – 4 medium-sized

Ground flaxseeds – ¼ cup

Raw walnuts or pecans – ½ cup

Organic oats – ½ cup, gluten-free

Combine walnuts, pecans, oats, and flaxseeds inside a food processor. Pulse around ten times. Add all other ingredients save for cacao nibs to the processor and pulse for another 7 times. Since you may want a chunky paste consistency, pulsing for a maximum of 20 times overall is enough.  Put the mixture in a mixing bowl, and fold in the cacao nibs. Divide the dough into different sections, about 10, and roll each into balls. Store in the freezer and then serve.

4. Sweet and salty cannabis bites

Cannabis-butter or cannabis-oil – 2 teaspoons

Vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon

Almonds – ¼ cup, chopped

Pretzels – ¼ cup, crushed

Honey – ¼ cup

Almond butter – ¼ cup

Instant oats – 1 cup

Use parchment paper to line a cookie sheet, as you combine honey, almond butter, and cannabis butter/oil in a bowl. Stir and then add vanilla extract, as you keep on stirring.

Add the dry ingredients, including pretzels, almonds, oats, and salt, and mix until well-coated. Scoop equal amounts, about 10, and place on the cookie sheet. Roll each scoop into a ball then refrigerate and serve.

5. Blueberry and lemon energy bites

Honey – 2 teaspoons

Flaxseed – ¼ cup

Silvered almonds – ¼ cup

Old fashioned oats – 1 cup

Lemon essential oil – 2 or 3 drops

Blueberries – dried, 8 oz.

Cannabis-butter or cannabis-oil – 2 teaspoons

Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processer, and blend to create a paste. Roll the paste into several balls, around 12.
